The airline fallout from high gas prices continues - American will start charging $15 for a first checked bag, $25 for checking a second bag, cut domestic flights, and lay off thousands.
Why does it seem like Southwest is the only well-run airline?
They grapple with the same fuel issues, but they hedged. Also, they are the only airline that makes money, and they have lead in customer satisfaction for 15 straight years.
